8U 864 Select Baseball
This is the age group where the love of the game begins to develop. The priority of 8U 864 Select is to teach fundamentals and teamwork to our young players. While not forgetting that the most important objective of any youth baseball league is for the kids to have fun.
Ages
What aged players are appropriate for this program?
- Appropriate players at 7-8 years old who have a basic understanding of the rules of baseball and team building.
When
What time of the year does this program run?
- Spring/Summer season begins in March and runs through June. Fall season begins in August and runs through October.
Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
- Practices are held at Various locations in the upstate. 864 Select has their home fields in the Anderson County area. Practices will depend on each age group. Games may be played local in the Upstate and its up to each team whether they travel outside the state.
Practices
When are practices and how often are they?
- Teams practice 2-3 times per week.
Tournaments
How many tournaments will they play?
- Teams will play 5-6 tournaments over the course of the season and will usually fall on the weekends.
Uniforms
Are uniforms provided or are they purchased separately?
- 864 Select uniforms may be purchased on the team store set up by First Team Sports. Further instructions will be provided by your coach.
Fundraising
Will there by any Fundraising opportunites?
- Every team can host a fundraiser to cover season costs or team equipment, apparel, tournaments, etc. This will be set up by your coach.
